Have a 500 page hand-coded recipe website (www.e-rcps.com), shtml pages maintained with Dreamweaver - want to install star rating system for each recipe without having to enter each page URL on each individual page - in other words, generic code snippet that detects page URL for rating purposes. Currently in-use PHP email function does this, so it must be possible with rating system as well.

As I told you on Live Chat as well, to not edit each file manually, you must have a template system or a way to add in one file and the rest of the file get that automatically.
If your PRINT, EMAIL is added in SHTML (included) then can be done with adding there JavaScript code which will get the URl and also add to each page the code.
You should try it with free version and if work, you can move to PRO version as well.

The e-rcps PHP Email program gets the URI from the HTTP REFERRER, but that is beyond my technical ability - thought that some version of Star Rating System might offer this capability.

Yes, can get it, but still need to add to each existing pages or in a single page if template exist.
