Hi,
I try to start to use the Star Rating System PRO that I just bought. This is in the README-file that come with the script.
Unzip this file into your directory.
Edit config.inc.php and see line
define("RATEPRO_INDEX_URL", "http://www.yoururl.com");
Create database and dump the content from installer using dump file from installer/mysql.sql
and installer/mysql_insert.sql phpMyAdmin from your control panel.
Call http://yourdomain.com/ratepro/ and you will see more details, links for test.

My problem is the first part; "Edit config.inc.php and see line
define("RATEPRO_INDEX_URL", "http://www.yoururl.com");
"
What should it say in RATEPRO_INDEX_URL? Should the "http://www.yoururl.com" be the adress to the index.html-file?
As I'm not a professional programmer I'd need some help here... (?)

It is your website URL, but if you run as
http://www.yourdomain.com/ratepro/installer/
will do the installation automatically.

I receive the
"Database problem
Could not connect! - (CHECK THIS POSSIBLE ERROR, FIX IT, THEN REFRESH THIS PAGE)"
-message when I've tried to install it using the automatical installation.
I'm pretty sure I've written in the correct information.

I got it to work no, THANK YOU :)
But now I've come across another problem... when I try to access the admin-page with the demo as username and password it says that it's incorrect?

I've checked the ratepro_config table in the database and it says "demo" on both username and password.
What could be the problem? :SSS

It worked now... :)
But I receive this error message on the top when I press "configure"; "You have to change back chmod to 0777 the /tmp/extraconfig.inc.php file using an FTP client!!! Please CHMOD this file to 0664 to avoid access to this file from outside!!"
Is it something I should do?
There's also a delay when I go to the Star-Rate-Pro/admintool-page.. I have to re-load the page (some times several times) to get to the admin-login. Do you know what the problem could be?

You can ignore that and change back the file to 644 as soon as the software is configurated.
The login problem seems to be on your server, slow connection maybe?

How do I change back to "644"? How/why do I configure the software?
Sorry for my stupid question, I'm quite new at this.

Regarding the login-problem it's probably not due to bad connection, since it works alright on other pages. It is possible to access it but I need to reload the site (with the webbrowser button) in order to get to the login page.
I also receive a an error massage when I try to comment/rate on the demos:
"Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server."

Via FTP you can put back 777 to 644.
We need to see the URL to see where is the problem.
Send the FTP details through our contact form to check it.

Hi,
I've sent you an e-mail regarding the comment function. For some reason it is not published when I press 'Rate' in the demo?
Could you please have yet another look?
Thank you,
Robin
