I installed g-dating lite per installation instructions a few days ago and it has been working fine. This morning when I accessed my home page. I got the following message:
"I cannot open a connection to database. If this is a new site, please use installer"
I don't know why all of a sudden this message came up. I didn't change anything. After being frustrated about this, I decided to re-install the software, so I uploaded the install folder and did the installation over again. This included creating a completely new sql database as per the installation instructions. After completing the installation and deleting the installer folder. I was then able to access home page and setup my settings in the admintool again. After I got all of the information updated, I registered as a new member to test out the settings. When I was finished filling out the registration form and clicked on submit, I got same the error message again :
"I cannot open a connection to database. If this is a new site, please use installer" .
Has anyone had this problem before? What's going on?
