When I add a new user (for testing) GDating tells me to check my email for an activation email, because my account will not work if I don't activate it. This mail never comes in. Also, the email to the admin doesn't come in. How to solve this problem?

It should work. To debug it, we need to see on your server, cause can be some local settings.

It's not on a public server yet because we can't test it without shutting down our current website. It's on a server running under localhost (Apache server).

Windows localhost cannot send mail ... need a mailserver for this. Usually Windows servers not have a mailserver.

Our internetserver doesn't have a mailserver either. Does that mean we can't get this to work?

We have our own internetserver without mail because we use e-mail through an internet provider. We are just hosting our website on our own server. Your website doesn't mention this requirement. Just Windows, PHP and MySQL. Can we use the SMTP-server from our provider?

Thank you for checking. When do you know if it's possible?

(We don't have email on our server, I'm sure about that. Our internetprovider blocked the ports used for email so we can't setup our own email server.)

We will modify the script for custom request to have possibilities to send out also with SMTP. But will take some time.
