I installed lftp, then ran the script again...

I received two emails...both with subject "backup START u15******.onlinehome-server.com to *****.online-server.com

They are ten minutes apart...but I see no files residing on the backup ftp server...

I do see a file :
BACKUP_u15****_onlinehome-server_com_20100423-1408 .tar.gz_PART_0000 in the backup_script/tmp/backup.14581 directory...

Is this the actual backup, and this is to be copied to the ftp backup server?

If you have setup the FTP connection to your remote backup, yes will move there the files, if not, will leave on your actual server, which is not OK totally, cause can be a hardware failure.

I think the script failed, because when inspecting the logs, it listed the /etc/files...but only one domain in file listings, then stopped...
The script freezes at the command line, with no messages...also the emails only say script has started, but no message that it has finished...

No files moved to the ftp server...

Maybe you might know which log to inspect for the list of errors...

Where you run the script we also write a log file of what is archived, what the script do.
