Hi,

I bought this sophisticated tool "powertoys" a few days ago.
Although I'm some sort of greenhorn in serveradministration I succeeded installing the programm on my webserver with SUSE 10.3 and Plesk 8.4.
It's running very well.
But one should know how to use it...
I fear that I have to change the vhosts.conf in order to get what I need.
I don't want to destroy my server, therefore I'm asking some questions here at first:

In Plesk 8.4. I can manage subdomains and aliases but I can't give em own email-accounts.
That's necessary, because all my printet business letters, cards and so on are showing the subdomain Internetadress and its email.
Now I've moved from a managed server to this one that I have to manage by myself.
Please, can you tell me step by step, what I have to do to get the result: own email-adresses for subdomains.
If not possible with powertoys please tell me - in for a greenhorn understandable steps - how to get this via the shell.
You would help me a lot !

Thank's in advance for your efforts and

have a nice day !

Solved:

I solved it only with Plesk - I got a german Tipp here:

http://sc.hokola.de/e-mail-einrichten-fur-subdomai ns-mit-plesk-8/

Simply create at first two subdomains - each as a main domain, then create the former main-domain as a subdomain of one of them.

Then you have two ftp-accounts and emails for all

i.e.:

sub1.domain.tld (in Plesk as a main domain created)
sub2.domain.tld (same)

domain.tld (in Plesk created as a subdomain of one of them)

But anywhy - I like Powertoys with its lot of useful tools.

Thanks
Beda
