Do you use latest PLESK?
We cannot reproduce the error, but seems config.inc.php is not the latest or some other small error.

yes as notated in original post. it is latest. I also noticed from playing it will read the template if i create it manually it only fails when i go to write it back.

if i look in the director structure it creates a file confvhost.conf instead of /domain/conf/vhost.conf so it would appear it is looking for a path variable of some kind and fails. maybe i can hard code this if you let me know where.

Also my main purpose for the purchase of this is to allow my php base picture gallery to run with this version of plesk i beleive using the suPHP_Engine. do i also need to download this module using yum in order for this feature to work?

We will verify what is happening, maybe you can give to us a SSH access (send to support at grafxsoftware dot com).

Read our guide on http://www.web-hosting-control-panel-addons.com/de scription.php/HOW-TO_setup_a_PLESK_Dedicated_Serve r/6/

Here we explain how to install mod_suphp. Power Toys just modify the vhost.conf

ok now this is a little difficult to understand

shell: yum install mod_suphp (yes this was the easy part)
the following statement is that lacking in punctuation though that it is hard to understand what is required exactly.

After this, /etc/httpd/conf.d/mod_suphp.conf (imporatnt this line LoadModule suphp_module modules/mod_suphp.so, rest can be uncommented); /etc/suphp.conf (use default, except ; Security options allow_file_group_writeable=false allow_file_others_writeable=false allow_directory_group_writeable=true allow_directory_others_writeable=false; )

what do i need to add into the mod_suphp.conf

as I know this allow_directory_group_writeable is false by default.
allow_directory_group_writeable=true put it to true, this is all.

ok will try that

still get
ERROR: get_template() failure: [./programtemplates/] Undefined variable: pleskversion

whenever i hit the submit button. I'm assuming it is also supposed to copy a php.ini file to the temp directory of that domain as well.

<IfModule mod_suphp.c>
<Directory "/var/www/vhosts/progressivenetworks.com.au/h ttpdocs/">
php_admin_flag engine on
suPHP_Engine On
suPHP_ConfigPath "/var/www/vhosts/progressivenetworks.com.au/h ttpdocs/tmp/"
AddHandler x-httpd-php .php
AddHandler php5-script .php
AddHandler x-httpd-php .php .php5 .php4 .php3 .phtml
suPHP_AddHandler x-httpd-php
suPHP_AddHandler php5-script .php
php_value open_basedir "/tmp/"
</Directory>
</IfModule>

with all the above formatting
